Shannon Doak

Shannon Doak is an Ed.D. in Educational Technology student at Boise State University, lifelong learner, social media and mobile device enthusiast and self proclaimed gadget goon. Shannon believes social media is the next frontier in teacher professional development. He holds a Masters of Educational Technology, a degree certificate in school technology coordination from Boise State University and Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii Manoa.

Shannon is currently the Technology Coach at the American International School of Guangzhou. As the technology coach in the elementary school, Shannon has been at the forefront of changing the digital landscape of the school. Shannon has helped to move technology integration from a set tech class schedule to a flexible access schedule, headed up the iPad pilot program, implemented grade level blogging and e-portfolio usage in grades 4 & 5, expanded iPad usage to include preschool to grade 5 and introduced class blogs for kindergarten to grade 3. He is continually looking for ways technology can improve the teaching and learning that occurs at AISG.
